About GILDANE
Why this shop exists
My first gold chain cost thirty dollars. It looked right for about three weeks. Then the edges went dull, a green line showed up on my collarbone, and the store that sold it to me had a countdown clock that had apparently been expiring for months.

So I did what most people do next. I went and looked at the brands that actually tell you what the metal is. They were straight with me. They also started around $149 for a thin chain, which is a lot of money for a first piece.
That gap is the reason GILDANE exists.
Honest but expensive on one side. Cheap but theatrical on the other. Nothing sensible in the middle.

What we make
Every piece we sell is 18k gold bonded to 316L stainless steel. Not plated. Bonded, which means the gold is fused to the steel under heat and pressure instead of dipped in a thin layer that walks off in the shower.
We price each piece against the named brand selling the closest equivalent, then take ten percent off that. That is the whole pricing method. There is no inflated original price sitting above it for the discount to look bigger.
It is not solid gold, and we will never write that it is.
It is the finish that holds up on a real neck, in real weather, at a price a normal person can pay without thinking about it for a week.
Our mission
To make an honest gold chain something a man can buy on an ordinary Tuesday: the specification printed on the page, the price already fair, and a warranty long enough to settle the doubt.
Our vision
A men's jewelry aisle with no countdown clocks in it, where every claim is checkable, every price holds still, and whether the gold will last stops being the first question anyone asks.
